Egg Shakshuka recipe | Desi Shakshuka Recipe | Let’s make this Desi Shakshuka recipe at home. It takes 15 to 20 minutes and a perfect recipe for breakfast, lunch or dinner. If you love egg curry and runny egg yolks. This dish is a perfect combination of flavours, at the same time, you will get tasty gravy and runny yolks.

But if you do not like runny egg yolks, you can cook the eggs for more to get hard yolks. This shakshuka recipe needs some basic ingredients that you will easily find in your kitchen. Today we are making a Desi version of Shakshuka.

Lunch Recipes

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 to 4 tbsp mustard oil
  • 2 tbsp crushed ginger,garlic and green chilies
  • 2 medium sized onion
  • 2 medium sized tomato
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 4 to 5 eggs
  • Coriander leaves
  • 10 to 30 ml water

Egg Shakshuka in Desi Style

Take a pan. Heat some mustard oil. Here you can also use any other oil, if you want. Now saute crushed ginger, garlic, and chillies for 10 to 15 seconds. Then add chopped Onions. Cook them for 5 to 7 minutes on high flame.

After that, add tomatoes, salt and other mentioned spices. You can adjust the red chilli powder as per your taste. Then cook the masala for 10 to 14 minutes on medium to high flame.

If the masala looks too dry, add some water and cook it for 2 to 3 minutes. Then Crack the eggs. Sprinkle some Coriander leaves and cover the pan. Cook them for 4 to 6 minutes on low flame. If you want hard egg yolks, cook it for more. Shakshuka is ready. Serve it with bread, rice, and roti.
