Egg Masala Fry Recipe | Learn how to make this tasty egg masala fry with step-by-step photos and video. Egg masala fry is the dry egg curry. But you can serve this with rice as well. For making this masala fry, you need to fry the eggs with a lot of butter. Then, make a spicy gravy with onions, tomato, and some Indian spice mix.

  • 5 to 6 eggs
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 3 to 4 green chillies
  • 4 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 to 3 onions(chopped)
  • 1 tbsp crushed ginger garlic
  • 1/ tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 2 to 3 tsp red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp dry fenugreek leaves
  • 2 tomatoes (chopped)
  • 50 to 60 ml water
  • Some fresh coriander leaves


Egg Masala Fry Making Process

Take a pot. Boil some water. Then add eggs and boil them on medium flame for 7 to 8 minutes. After that, remove the eggs from water and peel out the skin. Cut them into half.

Now, take a pan. Add butter, kashmiri red chilli powder, green chillies, and eggs.

Saute them for 2 to 3 minutes on medium flame. After that, remove it from the pan.

In the same pan, pour some mustard oil. Then add cumin seeds, onions, and ginger garlic. Cook it until it turns golden in colour.

Then add salt, turmeric, and all powdered spices. Cook it for 3 minutes. Then add tomatoes. Again, cook it until it turns mushy.

Add some water and cover it. Cook it for 10 to 25 minutes.

After that, remove the lead and again cook the gravy on high flame until it turns dry. Now, add fried eggs. Turn off the flame. Garnish it with some coriander leaves.
