Makhana Raita Recipe | Makhana Raita is a delicious and refreshing Indian side dish. It can be served with any Indian meal like Biryani, Chola bhatura, chicken Curry, Mutton curry etc. Makhana raita is a quick and easy recipe made roasted makhana.

The ingredients are very simple like you need some makhana(puffed lotus seeds), curd, salt, sugar, chaat masala and Coriander leaves. This raita is also perfect for vrat(fasting days). Let’s make this super refreshing and delicious makhana raita at home.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 bowl (medium sized) phool makhana
  • 1 bowl(medium sized) curd
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp black salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp chaat masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp chopped green chilies
  • 1 tsp Coriander leaves

Phool Makhana Raita Recipe

Take some makhana and dry roast them for 5 to 8 minutes on medium flame until it turn crisp. Then crush them a bit.

Now take some fresh yogurt. Add red chilli powder, black salt, sugar and chaat masala powder. Mix it well. Then roasted and crushed makhana.

Add some green chillies and Coriander leaves. Mix well. Makhana Raita is ready. If you want a crispy texture, make this raita just before serving. Or you can store this in the fridge for a day. Enjoy.
