INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams of hung curd
  • 100 to 150 ml condensed milk
  • 3 to 4 saffron
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • some sugar

Bhapa Doi Recipe Steps

Take a bowl. Add some hung curd. For making hung curd, take some fresh curd and hang the curd in a cotton cloth for 3 to 4 hours. After that, you can use that curd in the recipe. Now add condensed milk. Add some saffron and cardamom.

Mix well and make a lump free batter. Now, take some small steel bowls or ceramic bowls. Pour the curd mix. Cover the bowls with plates.

Now, boil some water in a pot. Place another plate over it. Or you can use any steamer for this recipe. Make sure that the plate has some holes in it. Place the bowls on it. And cover it from the lead. Turn the flame on medium. Now, steam them for 20 to 25 minutes.

After that, turn off the heat and leave it to cool down.

Then, Sprinkle some sugar and caramelize the sugar with the help of a blow torch. Or you can also skip this process if you do not have a blow torch. The Bhapa doi is ready. Serve it, chill.
