Curry Recipe

Ingredients

  • 7 to 8 turnip
  • 4 to 5 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 3 to 4 onions
  • 1 tbsp crushed ginger garlic
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 tsp turmeric
  • 1 to 2 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 to 2 tbsp red chili paste/powder
  • 300 to 400 ml water
  • coriander leaves

Method

First , wash the turnips, peel the skin, and chop them into medium-sized pieces.

Here, you can take a kadhai or pressure cooker. Heat some oil. Add cumin seeds, sliced onions, and ginger garlic. Saute it for 10 to 15 minutes on high flame. Then add tomato.

Add salt, turmeric, and powdered spices. Cook it for 10 to 15 minutes on medium flame. Then, add shalgam. Cook it for 5 minutes on high flame.

Then add water and cook it for 20 to 30 minutes or until shalgam turns out soft. Or you can also pressure to cook the curry. So it takes less time. And you get the perfectly soft turnips.

Garnish it with some chopped coriander leaves. You can also use 100 ml water if you don’t want a lot of gravy. Enjoy.
