Ingredients

  • 250 grams of yogurt
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • a pinch of cardamom powder
  • 2 to 3 tbsp sugar
  • 4 to 5 Saffron strands
  • 10 ml lukewarm milk
  • 3 to 4 tbsp soaked pistachios, almonds, cashews

Method of making Shahi lassi

Prepare the Saffron Milk ■

Take a small bowl and add 2 tablespoons of warm milk. – Add the saffron strands to the warm milk and let it soak for about 10-15 minutes. This helps to release the colour and flavour of saffron.

Blend the Ingredients ■

In a blender, add the yogurt, and sugar. Pour in the saffron-infused milk along with the saffron strands. – Add the cardamom powder and rose water for that fragrant aroma and flavour(if you like). Blend the mixture until it becomes smooth and frothy.

Add ice cubes to the blender and blend again for a few seconds to incorporate the ice. Add half of the chopped nuts into the blender and pulse a few times to mix them into the lassi without completely crushing them. Or just simply add everything together and blend it for 2 minutes.

Serve ■

Pour the Shahi Lassi into medium-sized glasses. Here you can prepare 2 glasses with 250 grams of curd. Garnish with the remaining chopped nuts, dried rose petals, and fresh mint leaves.

Final Touch ■

Serve immediately to enjoy the drink at its best.
