INGREDIENTS

  • 1 bowl of jamun(Java plum)
  • 3 to 4 tbsp sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 4 to 5 tbsp water

How to make jamun compote?

First, take some jamun. Wash them well and cut them into pieces. Remove the seed.

Now, add them in a pan. Add sugar and salt.

Add water. Mix well.

Now cook them for 3 to 4 minutes on high flame, then turn the flame on medium. And cook it for more 4 to 5 minutes until it turns mushy. If the mix looks dry, you can add water. We do not want sticky compote. After that, turn the flame off and leave it to cool down.

You can store this as it is. Or make a smooth puree of it and then store this jna air-tight container.
