Dessert Recipe

Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 tbsp dark chocolate
  • 60 grams of salted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 4 to 5 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 4 to 5 drops of Vanilla
  • 2 tbsp refined oil
  • 4 to 5 tbsp refined flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • chocolate chips (optional)

Method

1. Preheat and Prepare:

Preheat your oven to 180 degree Celsius. Line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.

2. Melt Chocolate and Butter:

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the salted butter and dark chocolate. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each, until the mixture is smooth and fully melted. Set aside to cool slightly. Or you can use double boiler method to melt the chocolate.

3. Mix Sugars and Eggs:

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, egg and vanilla extract until well combined and the mixture becomes pale and slightly frothy. This step is crucial for achieving the crinkly top. Then add oil. And mix well.

4. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

Slowly add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture, whisking continuously to combine. Be sure the chocolate is not too hot to avoid scrambling the eggs.

5. Add Dry Ingredients:

Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula. Avoid overmixing, which can lead to dense brownies.

6. Optional: Add Extra Chocolate Chips: If desired, fold in the additional chocolate chips for extra fudginess.

7. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not completely clean).

8. Cool and Serve:

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan on a wire rack. Once completely cooled, lift the brownies out using the parchment overhang, slice into squares, Enjoy !!!
