It is made with milk, cream, and stabilized with gelatin. You can make this in a glass or a bowl. You can also unmold it for presentation.  You can add different flavorings for making this dessert.

Here we are making milk panna cotta. For this, we need some milk, cream, and sugar. And we use agar-agar powder instead of gelatin. Agar-agar is a pure vegetarian substance. Then we use black grape compote for filling. That’s it you do not need any fancy ingredients for this beautiful dessert.

What is agar-agar?

If you are new to this ingredient then read it for more information. Agar-agar is a vegetarian and healthier substitute for gelatin processed from seaweeds which is vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO. Zero calories, no carbs, no sugar, and full of fiber.

It is free from starch, soy, corn, yeast, wheat, milk, egg, and preservatives. It absorbs glucose in the stomach, passes through the digestive system quickly, and inhibits the body from retaining and storing excess fat. It is ideally good to have once a week.

Ingredients

  • 250 to 300 ml milk(at room temperature)
  • 4 to 5 tablespoon cream
  • 2 teaspoon powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon for 1 layer and ½ teaspoon for the second layer
  • Black grape compote puree(4 to 5 teaspoon)

How to make panna cotta?

Take a saucepan, add half milk. And ½ teaspoon agar-agar powder. Do not use too much. You can also use gelatin instead of agar-agar.

Agar agar

Mix well. Then turn on the heat. Cook on low flame for 6 minutes. Keep stirring.

Then add cream and sugar. Mix it and turn off the heat.

Cream

Cooldown the mixture then pours it into molds. If you want to make some effects then add 1 teaspoon black grape puree to 2 teaspoon milk mixture. Mix well and pour it. Wait for a minute or place it in the freezer for 20 seconds. Then pour the mixture into molds. Just fill the half. Here you can use any glass, bowl, or small plate as a mold.

Leave it in fridge for 20 minutes. Now, scoop some panna cotta from the center for filling.

Milk panna cotta

First, make a black grape compote then blend it and sieve it for a smooth puree. Then fill the well. And make the same milk mixture again for the next half.

Grape puree

Fill the other half and leave it to set. It takes 20 to 30 minutes. After that, you can unmold it.

Pannacotta

It is ready to serve. You can store it in refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.
